Week Calendar

This class builds on your existing practice with more advanced poses and techniques. We will focus on alignment, breathing, core strength and mindfulness.

This class combines the ancient wisdom of Qi energy with modern techniques to maximize the brain's function. Each class includes stretching, core strengthening, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation. Classes are suitable for all levels.

Newborn to 17 months with an adult.  No siblings, please.

Join us for a delightful winter-themed storytime!

Improve strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, posture, and alignment using hand-held weights, a resistance band, and a ball. Registration for SSD residents begins November 20; all others one week later.

Join Ms. Megan, a licensed social worker, for a social/emotional learning class.  Learn about kindness through songs, books and play.

This class is especially suited for the older adult, and combines the basics of Simply Stronger and Simply Stretch. You will need light hand weights for the class.

Recharge, unwind, and improve balance and posture, de-stress, and enhance your energy and focus in this all-levels class of gentle seated and standing poses and mindful breathing.

Qi Gong is an ancient Asian healing mind-body practice that means energy work.

Listen to the songs of the great Tony Bennett and his collaborations with the legendary pianist Bill Evans that created unforgettable masterpieces.

A quirky and famous barber helps his former boss, Count Almaviva capture Rosina’s heart through funny schemes. Tanisha will explore how Rossini was the master of comedy through his ingenious music making. No registration needed.

He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from high heights.

Make and decorate inspirational holiday cards for children in hospitals.

*Earn 1 hour of community service*

Read picture books to young children.

Learn basic yoga postures and relaxation techniques that will enable you to develop a daily practice of your own. You will need a yoga mat. Fee: $28

Join SPL's Teen GSA (Gender & Sexuality Alliance) in person. Meet in Room A, have fun, and meet more people like you.

Open to all teens in grades 6-12 including non-residents.

Join us for fun science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) challenges.

All community group meetings must be open to the public as per New York State Education Law.
