In-Person: A New Birth of Freedom Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address with Jim Coll

Few moments are as pivotal in the history of our nation as when President Abraham Lincoln delivered brief and historic remarks in Gettysburg in November of 1863.  In this lecture, we will describe the three-day battle that took place in the town, provide analysis of Lincoln's speech and study the impact of his words in the context of his times and the role they continue to play in our own.
