From his work with his amazing band the Heartbreakers to his chart-topping solo efforts, the musings of Tom Petty have had a tremendous impact on the world of popular music both before and since his untimely death in 2017.  In this presentation—part lecture, part live performance—we seek to take a deeper dive into a half dozen songs by this artist to get a better understanding of the songwriter and the storyteller.
